Meri Named DAISY Award Winner

Meet our newest DAISY award recipient, Meri. She is an LPN with Assisted Living at Riverside. The DAISY Award is an honor that recognizes the exceptional, skillful, and compassionate care these nurses demonstrate for our patients and families every day. 

Her nomination read, Meri deserves recognition for her outstanding performances everyday. Meri goes above and beyond to make sure that all residents have the best possible care, no matter the cost on her. She will also go out of her way to help any staff around her. She stays on top of everything in our memory care and is the glue that holds us together when she is on shift. Memory care is the best it can be with her here. I am a CNA and Meri has helped me with the residents without question. She always asks if I need help or if there is anything she can do to make my job lighter when hers is heavy enough. For example, I was giving someone a shower and getting them ready for the day, and she came to check and make sure everything was going okay instead of having the “that’s your job” mindset. I know that when Meri is the nurse on the floor that the residents, along with myself and any family members around will be safe, informed and happy.
